CAROSS Launches Intelligent Jump Starter in the Nordics

Battery Clamps Automatically Detect Positive and Negative Terminals

US technology brand CAROSS is introducing its T19 series to the Nordic market – an award-winning jump starter featuring patented smart clamps that automatically identify battery polarity. The aim is to make jump-starting safer, more intuitive, and easier to use, allowing motorists to handle the situation themselves without traditional jumper cables or assistance from other drivers.

Most motorists know the situation: the engine will not start, stress levels rise, and the first question is immediate – which cable goes where? In the worst-case scenario, an incorrect connection can damage the vehicle’s electronics or the equipment itself.

That challenge is exactly what the CAROSS T19 series is designed to solve, and it is now becoming available across the Nordic region.

The T19 series features CAROSS’ patented Smart Connect™ technology, in which the intelligent battery clamps automatically detect battery polarity. Small built-in displays on the clamps indicate the correct connection, making the system more intuitive than traditional jump starters.

CAROSS describes the technology as the world’s first non-polarised jump starter system. The system can provide starting assistance even at very low battery voltage and is housed in a compact aluminium design developed with a focus on both durability and aesthetics – a combination that, according to 55.7° North, sets the product apart from much of the market.

“If Makita and Apple had a child, it would be the CAROSS T19. It is as functional, professional, and rugged as Makita, while being as elegant, thoughtfully designed, and user-friendly as Apple’s products,” says Philip Jacobi Zahle, CSMO at 55.7° North.

Technology Designed to Eliminate Uncertainty
According to CAROSS, the ambition is to make emergency jump-starting simpler and safer in practice.

“Motorists should not be afraid to use a jump starter themselves. Technology should make the situation easier, not more stressful. That is why we developed a system that automatically determines polarity and safely guides the user through the process,” says Fox Zhu, Technical Director and Co-Founder of CAROSS.

The intelligent smart clamps are currently available on the CAROSS T19 and T32 series. Several models also feature an integrated SOS light and can function as mobile power banks for devices such as smartphones and tablets.

Developed for Real-World Use
With the introduction of the T19 series, 55.7° North aims to bring more user-friendly jump starters and emergency power products to Nordic motorists who expect reliable and easy-to-use technology.

55.7° North is the exclusive distributor of CAROSS products in the Nordic region.
